Sintering Metal–Organic Framework Gels for Application as Structural Adhesives (Small 25/2023)
نویسندگان
چکیده
Metal–Organic Frameworks The zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 (ZIF-67) gel sintering technique provides a microstructure of densely aggregated, large spherical ZIF-67 crystals, resulting in bonding Cu substrates with shear strength exceeding 30 MPa, comparable to that conventional structural adhesives. More details can be found article number 2300298 by Izuru Miyazaki, Mitsutaro Umehara, and co-workers.

Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives versus Tacky Gels
By definition, transdermal, drug-delivery applications mandate the use of adequate adhesive systems to not only keep the pharmaceutical agent in contact with the intended surface, but to facilitate sustained, controlled delivery. Engineers who must determine which silicone chemistry is optimal for their device have a few options. While pressuresensitive silicone adhesives (PSAs) have typically ...

Self-Oscillating Structural Polymer Gels
Self-oscillating polymer gel has become a distinguished class of smart soft materials. Here we fabricated and demonstrated a self-oscillating structural gel network with the incorporation of the Belousov-Zhabotinsky (BZ) reaction. The structural polymer gel oscillates at a macroscopic level with remarkably faster kinetics compared to a normal gel of similar chemical compositions. The structural...
متن کاملApplication of Spark Plasma Sintering for Manufacturing of Thermoelectric Materials
V-VI thermoelectric compounds like Bi2Te3-based alloys are well known for room temperature applications like Peltier coolers or thermogenerators. Their anisotropic physical properties and mechanical weakness are a problem for the manufacturing. To overcome the mechanical problem Spark Plasma Sintering (SPS) was used. 2 inch Wafers of polycrystalline bismuth telluride based n-type and p-type the...
متن کاملBio-Based Adhesives and Evaluation for Wood Composites Application
There has been a rapid growth in research and innovation of bio-based adhesives in the engineered wood product industry. This article reviews the recent research published over the last few decades on the synthesis of bio-adhesives derived from such renewable resources as lignin, starch, and plant proteins. The chemical structure of these biopolymers is described and discussed to highlight the ...
